The museum is situated by the Corner House, Market Street, in the centre of town. Charlbury is a pleasant town to explore, with an attractive centre and many lovely walks in the locality.
There are regular bus services to Charlbury every day except Sundays. We are on the train line from London Paddington and within easy walking distance of the railway station.
Private visits to Charlbury Museum
We appreciate that our opening hours might not be convenient for everyone. We welcome visits out of normal opening times by appointment, depending on the availability of our volunteer staff. To cover the time and cost of this extra service, we ask for a donation of £20 a session for one to four visitors. Please contact us for more details:

The museum is pleased to help with research requests. This work is done by volunteers; the museum is currently not grant aided, and we would appreciate a small donation for this service.
